Award-winning, internationally published architect, lecturer, roboticist, and entrepreneur. A King’s Foundation 35 Under 35 and recognised thought leader in sustainable design, advanced construction methods, and embodied AI.
Will began running his own design practice at 19, and by the age of 25 had designed and built multiple award-winning sustainable homes for private clients. Through that early hands-on experience, he came to realise that construction would need to be fundamentally reinvented to meet the demands of the 21st century and address the housing and climate crises; a conviction that led him to found Offgrid Works..
With 16 years of practical experience across design and construction, Will is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and spent over half a decade at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in New York and London, where he held design leadership responsibility on some of the world’s most ambitious projects. There, he helped turn visionary concepts into buildable reality at extraordinary scale, including floating cities for the United Nations, major flood-defence infrastructure in New York, and some of the tallest buildings in the world.
Currently also Professor of Practice (Industry) and Course Lead for Sustainable AI for Architecture at Gritnova Global Campus, he is building Offgrid Works to solve one of the most consequential challenges of our time: how to deliver the infrastructure civilisation needs without destroying the planet in the process.
